Radical Drawing Workshop

Radical Drawing

Be bold, be different, be playful in this free radical drawing workshop

Drawing is a powerful creative tool with an extraordinary range, long used by artists to push boundaries and express key ideas or emotions. Join us for our drop in workshop to find out more about the amazing range and potential of drawing, from preparatory studies for paintings to complex, highly finished drawings prepared as works of art in their own right, and from drawings that capture movement or record anatomy to others that are purely an expression of the artist’s imagination.

Using examples of work from artists such as Pablo Picasso, George Romney and Barbara Walker, featured in the exhibition Radical Drawing open at the Herbert from Friday October 18th, we invite you to come along and experiment with drawing, creating your own radical work to take home or add to our display.

This workshop is being run by the Herbert and Courtauld Gallery to celebrate their Radical Drawing exhibition at the Herbert Gallery 18 October to 19 January 2020.
